A Few Words About
From the president
John B. Jessie
It is an honor to serve in my role as President of the Board of Directors for the Campbellsville/Taylor County Chamber of Commerce for 2020-2021. Though our Chamber of Commerce has had a long history of important accomplishments in our community dating back of over 70 years, this year has been especially unique and challenging.
Our community has shared in the difficulties that the COVID-19 pandemic has created, but those obstacles have encouraged modernization and local businesses have refocused their goals and processes to meet the needs of our fast-growing and vibrant business community. We will overcome the difficulties in this period and will be a better community for it. There are so many businesses and organizations doing amazing things in our community and your Chamber is eager to be a partner with and support the people already working to make our community stronger. Our shared goal with local leaders, from private entities, local government, and the academic arenas ensure that the entirety of local industry has maximum opportunity to succeed.
We have an extremely dedicated, talented, experienced Board of Directors who share the desire to accomplish our mission. Our community can expect to see some exciting changes to the Chamber of Commerce events and strategic planning in 2021. We welcome those of you who may not have found value in the Chamber in the past to take a moment to re-introduce yourself to what this new Chamber has to offer your business. Our Chamber will educate, communicate, and promote on your behalf in the interest of business, both large and small, and we are confident that you will want to become a member when you see the direction we are headed.
We fully acknowledge that our effectiveness is not in telling you what you need, but in you sharing with us. Therefore, please reach out to us. We are only a phone call or e-mail away and we want to hear from you about what is important to your business and how the Chamber can help you be successful.
The Chamber wants our members to be partners in support of our mission. We invite all business owners to take part so we can achieve a thriving local economy together, and we look forward to furthering our common goals.

From the Diretor
Our Chamber is comprised of a diverse community, with different backgrounds representing the variety of business categories. The Chamber comprises everything from farms, to a yoga studio, banks, franchises, as well as global corporations. There is a common thread among us all at the Campbellsville/Taylor County Chamber of Commerce: everyone wants to do better – make and foster healthy business connections, grow their businesses, and make the community a better place to live. My role is to facilitate the measures to see our members thrive.
As Executive Director, I’m one of the first people you will meet. My priority is to get to know you and your business, and then pinpoint where the Chamber can be a channel for you to achieve your business goals. I take pride in making sure I’m available to all my members. In addition to bringing in new members and trying to nurture the ones we already have, I spend a fair amount of time working on a calendar of events that will entice members and potential members to attend from training workshops to monthly Chamber luncheons. Our objective is to offer valuable programs and resources that will empower attendees to be more successful.
My duties as ED are numerous and varied, but my favorite part is answering a phone call of a prospective member. If you’re not a member and you are looking to grow your connections and business, please give me call! As always, the board of directors and myself are only a phone call away. Give us a call today at (270) 465-8601 or email at email@example.com.
